Spring Break 2011 was the week that “New Friends” became best friends. The people seen in this picture (besides the old man in the purple shirt) are my family when I’m at school. We all became close this past semester, and I can honestly say that I don’t know what I’m going to do without them by my side every day all summer. Because this blog is a tribute to them, and, of course, the crazy times we spend together, I believe it would be appropriate to give a brief background on each person. (From MY perspective, of course hehehe)
LET’S START WITH THE GIRLS:
Aria - I’ve known Aria the longest out of everyone (that I can remember). We met in high school at Search, but were never really all that close of friends. Our relationship has grown quite a bit since then and most likely will continue to grow considering we’re living together next year. Aria talks really fast and smiles more than anyone I know. She drives Ron Burgundy, can’t cook, and can make anyone laugh. We make fun of her a lot, but seriously would be lost without her. Aria paints her nails everyday.
Paige - Aria met Paige on facebook before they came to school. They were supposed to be roommates, but they started halfway through the year, so they couldn’t be put together. Paige is from Northern Virginia and, therefore, is not as southern as the rest of us. She still enjoys country music, smoking cigarettes, and drinking as much as I do which is why I love her. Paige is an excellent student and an excellent partier. I can honestly do anything with her and have a great time. Paige loves Harry Potter.
Abby - Abby is one of the nicest people I know. She goes out on the weekends and comes home with at least fifteen new friends that she usually never talks to again. She dances and laughs and plays with everyone. Abby pushes me to be more outgoing, even if she doesn’t know it. Abby is known for being “sorry”, although she never really has anything to be sorry for. She is always herself and everyone loves her for it. Abby loves American flags and the Fourth of July.
AND NOW, FOR THE BOYS:
Kaleb - I live on the same hall as Kaleb this year, so we have spent a lot of time together over the past eight months. He is a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity (and would kill me if I didn’t include that bit of information). He dates Abby Templin and writes sappy shit on her wall like “you know that special feeling, when you know you have one of the most beautiful girlfriends ever..and all you can do is sit there and love life, because you are so happy. thats me right now yo.” Kaleb has a wiener dog.
Brendan - I met Brendan through Kaleb and then found out that he and I were in the same Kindergarten class. It turned out that Brendan would be the one who kept me sane whenever I needed to vent about anything. We frequently whine back and forth to each other until we both feel better, and it has proven to actually work. Brendan can drink and smoke and consume any type of substance at a higher intensity than anyone I’ve ever met. He’s a rager who used to be a player until I set him up with his girlfriend, Aria. Brendan is banned from Dillard’s.
David - David is my boyfriend. We have been friends for a long time, and just recently started dating. He wasn’t originally a member of New Friends, but has recently been added due to the fact that he spends a lot of time with us and we frequently go to his apartment to smoke. Our relationship stemmed from our ability to talk to each other honestly about anything. One day, I decided I was going to sleep with him, so I did, and now we’re together. I like him a lot, but don’t tell him. David likes League of Legends more than me. He also owns camouflage cargo shorts.
A few more things that will be helpful in understanding this blog:
- Aria, Abby, Paige and I are living together next year at Kensington Meadows.
- Brendan, Aria, David, and I make up the eskimo tribe.
- Kaleb’s fraternity is more commonly referred to as “FIJI”.
- Toni used to be a part of us until we all went a little crazy and now she never wants to speak to us again.
- All of this is fictional. We do not smoke, drink, or have sex in real life. If you are a cop, reading further would be pointless because nothing you will read is truth.
